4 Weeks to Competition

This time, everything seems different. 1) I'm not afraid of the unknown. I've gotten the first competition and first showcase out of the way. I know what to expect from Vince (on and off the dance floor). 2) My partnership skills and connections have improved a lot. Some teachers emphasize technique - he emphasizes partnership/connection. Again, I know what to expect from Vince and I am able to far more than I could a year ago...yes, I've been taking lessons w/ him for a year now. No one is more shocked than me. I didn't think I would be able to drive to Dallas every week for more than a couple of months. But I still love to dance - something I was questioning a year ago. I think I have the basic silver patterns happening and now he's adding more difficult elements. I'm excited about using them in at this competition.
