Update on Mom Pt 2

We still don't know when they will move her to HealthSouth. Apparently, there was a lot of confusion between the doctors and staff yesterday. The PT spoke too soon about moving her and got her excited. Her neurologist also said she could be moved. But her cardiologist said no. Then her neurologist didn't find out until last night when he came by that she was still there. Someone forgot to tell him. Pray for communication, peace and cohesion among the doctors and staff. We should find out today when she will be moved. They also did an echocardiogram yesterday and we should get the results today. Their concern is a blood clot moving into her heart...and she is getting a pacemaker today.

Needless to say, she had a lot of excitement yesterday. She had a longer therapy session as well as a couple of visitors. By the time I got there after work her memory was starting to fade again. So I am playing gatekeeper and asking her friends to hold off on visiting until she gets to HealthSouth and gets on a schedule for her therapy. Right now we don't know if she can hold up to three hours of therapy and having visitors on top of that would be too much for her. When she does have visitors, it will only be two people in the room at a time and for only five minutes.
